2008/02/26 - Microsoft announced the winners of the inaugural Xbox LIVE® Arcade Awards on the final day of Game Developers Conference 2008, and Other Ocean is the proud winner in two categories for their LIVE Arcade rendition of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. SOTN scored the top spot for "Best Classic Game" based on the popular vote from Xbox enthusiasts everywhere, and also took home the "Highest Rated Game" accolade. Read the full press release here. 2007/11/12 - Other Ocean is proud to announce the North American release of Ultimate Mortal Kombat for the Nintendo DS. The game features fan-favourite Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and bonus Puzzle Kombat, providing multiplayer Wifi experience from a single cartridge. Visit the official site for more!

2007/10/29 - Over the past four months, Other Ocean has been aggressively recruiting at such high-profile industry events as the London Game Career Fair in London, England in October, the Tokyo Game Show in Tokyo, Japan in September, VIDFest in Vancouver, BC in September, GC Developers Conference in Leipzig, Germany in August, as well as hosting our own Atlantic Canada recruiting tour in July. 2007/06/27 - In a press release today, Midway announced Other Ocean's upcoming rendition of Ultimate Mortal Kombat for the Nintendo DS. Due in November, this exciting release combines fan-favourite Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and the addictive play of Puzzle Kombat in a single cartridge. 2007/05/25 - Atlantic Canada's rising star in game development unveils its new identity as Other Ocean Interactive. The studio was founded a year ago as Backbone Charlottetown, the latest addition to powerhouse developer Foundation 9 Entertainment. Other Ocean's new identity brings a new mission to expand video game development and original content creation within Canada. Read the press release here.

2007/03/21 - One of the most popular games is now available on Xbox Live® Arcade. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, developed by Backbone Charlottetown, under the Digital Eclipse label was released on March 21. Recreated and enhanced for Xbox 360™, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is better than before with enhanced graphics, new achievements, and Xbox Live® leaderboards.

2006/09/28 - Backbone Charlottetown is developing Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for the Xbox Live Arcade. Published by Konami, and released under the Digital Eclipse brand, the game will be a recreation of the PS1 classic and will be available in 2007.

2006/04/25 - Foundation 9 Entertainment's newest studio, Backbone Charlottetown held a grand opening ceremony on April 21. The event was attended by Peter MacKay, Canadian federal minister of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, as well the Prince Edward Island premier, Pat Binns, and nearly 50 members of the local media and government.
